Why GoPro and not DJI Osmo? - The answer is simple: GoPro offers built-in GPS synchronization, ensuring that all data is synced using GPS time. The DJI Osmo, on the other hand, lacks a GPS sensor, making it much more time-consuming to manually synchronize the video footage with the other recorded data. (Except for GoPro 12! - it does not have GPS capabilities)
You can find detailed instructions for this process here: .
Important: The timestamp used here corresponds to the local time zone. However, the DDS system records timestamps in UTC!
Unfortunately, the drone does not offer a feature to synchronize video footage with GPS time. However, with the DJI Mini 3, I discovered that when the remote controller is connected to the internet, the timestamps are highly accurate. This indicates that time synchronization occurs automatically in the background via the internet — which is precisely what the 4G router in the hub is intended for.
This is likely the camera you'll use most often. Since the smartphone is also connected to the internet, the timestamps should generally be accurate. However, this can vary depending on the device. Please check your smartphone's settings and, if possible, test it in advance to ensure proper time synchronization.
